You have not only revived my passion for dressmaking but also transformed my career in ways that were once unimaginable.
Allow me to take a moment to share a personal journey that inspired my path in dressmaking. Several years ago, while working in the field of human rights, I tragically lost my mother. It was during this difficult time that I found the courage to pursue my lifelong dream of studying fashion in Italy. Unlike my fellow students at the time, I had no prior experience as a seamstress or pattern maker. Determined to catch up and excel, I dedicated countless hours, working tirelessly day and night to acquire the skills necessary to match the proficiency of my peers.
Those two years were an incredible period in my life. However, when I returned to Canada, I experienced a deep sense of isolation, as I struggled to find like-minded individuals who shared my passion and could provide the guidance I needed to further develop my skills. I realized that I still had so much to learn and didn't feel quite prepared to embark on a career completely on my own.
It was during this time that I discovered the Corset Academy (as it was known back then). A simple decision to explore the free classes available quickly became a turning point in my career.
Last year, on my birthday, my brother surprised me with a one-year subscription. I gained access to a wealth of knowledge, a community of like-minded individuals, and unrivaled support whenever I needed assistance. The Dressmaking Academy has not only answered my countless questions but has also provided me with continuous inspiration, pushing the boundaries of my creativity.
Today, I am immensely proud to be a part of this remarkable team. Milan has given me the basic skills and the certainty that I wanted to dedicate my career to it. You have provided me with the refinement and expertise I needed to become a master in the field.
