From a construction point of view, this is a rather complex task. This dress should be viewed not as a casual observer, but from a professional perspective. In addition to the provocative transparency, a complex construction is embedded here that does not allow even the slightest mistakes: the top must hold its shape without classical bodice support, and the bottom must maintain clean lines while working with transparent material. Any inaccuracy immediately becomes visible, therefore such models require maximum precision in execution.

Proportionally, the look works to elongate the figure. Vertical lines are created by the cut-outs and the direction of the transparent layer, however, due to the absence of a traditional skirt, the center of gravity shifts. This makes the silhouette visually less stable, but that is precisely the intention — to create the feeling of a fashion experiment rather than classical harmony.

If I had to recreate this dress, I would proceed by combining two constructions: a jumpsuit made of transparent material and a dress with a lining.

I suggest building the trouser construction and combining it with the bodice pattern to create a jumpsuit.

Since the jumpsuit is intended to be super-fitted and made of elastic but resilient mesh, we join both patterns at the waistline edge to edge, without additional ease for sitting.

Trace the patterns and perform modeling. Since it is necessary to remove side seams, transfer all darts into princess seams and central seams.

For cutting from transparent mesh, the pattern will look like this.

Next, proceed to working with the dress pattern. The inner lining will be cut based on a fitted dress pattern with princess seams. This is necessary to create a classic corset shape and to stitch several reinforcing bones.

The pattern of the outer layer will be modeled from the already constructed fitted dress pattern.

Trace the pattern pieces and perform modeling.

Since the dress is made from high-quality silk, pressing plays a key role. Using ironing, it is necessary to smooth the side edges, redistributing the fibers and transferring excess volume from the sides to the center of the pieces.

After all parts are sewn, the jumpsuit should be put on a mannequin and the finished front and back pieces fixed on it.

Then, removing the entire construction from the mannequin, the outer dress should be sewn to the inner jumpsuit with hand stitches.
