In just over three years as a member of the Dressmaking Academy, my life has completely transformed.

Thanks to you and your amazing platform, I’ve gone from being a seamstress to becoming a designer.When I joined your community, the only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to create beautiful gowns — I just didn’t know how.

So I began learning, and learning a lot. My very first projects were deeply personal: a wedding dress for my friend, a dress for myself, and guest dresses for my sister and mum.

That was in 2023, and by the end of the year, I entered those very same dresses into the Dressmaking Academy competition — and won 1st place.

This win encouraged me to launch my own bridal brand, Greta Laur.

Today, I’m shipping dresses worldwide, still learning through your incredible platform (because the knowledge truly is endless — and always up to date), and doing what I love every single day.
