My sewing journey started barely two years ago. I started by selling already-made clothes, however I started losing customers who wanted to slim fit the clothes they were purchasing but I could not sew even a single stitch, so I decided to learn how to sew solely to alternate the clothes I sell. I went on youtube and I stumbled upon a Dressmaking academy video on how to make wedding dresses. I was so intrigued that I took a step further and paid for the online class, in less than six months my life, business, dream and aspirations took a new turn. Ever since, I have been creating stunning corset dresses for different clients. I had to restructure my business "House of Nkoseh" from selling ready-to-wear to custom made coutures and this has increased my income significantly.

My first project was a blue formal corset dress for a wedding, second was a 10 years wedding anniversary dress, and to my surprise the projects came out beautiful (see attached) I have made many more great dresses for clients and even myself. In Feb 2025, I got the opportunity to create 2 dresses for a bride's traditional wedding and one for her chief bridesmaid.

Dressmaking academy changed my life. Tatiana's videos were straight to the point, very clear and easy to understand. The software for patterns are so easy to use when you plug in your own measurements. I am so glad to be associated with corset academy/Dressmaking academy.
